Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 June 2026
By signing up to WordPress-SEO.co.uk you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@wordpress-seo.co.uk before signing up.
1. The service
WordPress-SEO.co.uk is an AI-powered SEO automation platform. Subject to your subscription, we generate SEO-optimised articles, publish them to your website (where WordPress is connected), monitor keyword rankings, and provide a dashboard to view results.
Google Business Profile set-up & verification. If you buy Google Business Profile optimisation and do not yet have a Google Business Profile, WordPress-SEO will set one up for you as part of that service. Before a new (or significantly changed) listing can go live, Google requires the business owner to verify it. Google decides the method, which may include filming a short video of your premises (for example your signage, premises, work vehicle or tools) and showing proof of your business (such as a utility bill, bank statement or business registration), or a phone call, text, email or postcard. Only you can complete verification; we cannot do it on your behalf. How long verification takes, and whether a listing is approved, is decided by Google, not by us. Your monthly fee remains payable while verification is pending, and we are not responsible or liable if Google delays, rejects, suspends or removes a listing; this does not entitle you to a refund or credit. You can cancel at any time in your dashboard. By ticking the verification box when you order, you confirm you have read and accept this.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information during signup.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must be 18 or older and have authority to bind your business to these terms.
- One account per individual or business — please don't share accounts.
3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
- Plans are monthly or annual subscriptions. Prices and inclusions are shown on the pricing page.
- A 7-day free trial is available — activated by paying a £1 verification fee. The £1 fee is non-refundable and is credited toward your first full invoice if you continue.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically continue at the standard plan price, billed monthly or annually as selected.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- You can cancel any time from the billing settings in your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal — you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
- Where your plan includes a free AI Readiness Check and/or AI Visibility Check (each normally £9.99), it is sent once your first monthly payment has been taken. If that payment is later refunded or disputed, any check already delivered is chargeable at its standard price of £9.99 each, which will be deducted from any refund.
4. Refunds & cancellation
WordPress-SEO is a business-to-business service supplied to you for the purposes of your business. Consumer cancellation and refund rights (including the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) do not apply. Because we incur third-party AI and API costs (OpenAI, image models) on your behalf the moment you activate, all fees are non-refundable — including the £1 trial-activation fee and every subscription payment — and amounts already charged will not be refunded in whole or in part.
You are responsible for cancelling future renewals yourself through the billing settings in your dashboard before your next billing date. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for the current or any previous billing period, and you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. An informal or verbal request does not amount to cancellation — you must cancel through your dashboard. WordPress-SEO is an automated service, so cancellations are only ever made in your dashboard. Cancellation requests sent by email, contact form, phone, WhatsApp, social media or any other message are not processed and do not cancel your subscription, because messages can be delayed, filtered into spam or junk folders, or missed. Cancelling in your dashboard stops future renewals as soon as you confirm it. Auto-renewal is an inherent part of the service: if you forget or otherwise fail to cancel before your renewal date, you remain fully liable for that payment and it will not be refunded. This applies regardless of whether you used the service, logged in, or whether any articles were generated or published for you — non-use, partial use, or forgetting to cancel does not entitle you to a refund or credit in whole or in part. For billing queries, email billing@wordpress-seo.co.uk.
Free website audit fixes & the 3-month minimum. The fixes recommended in your website audit are carried out free of charge only if you commit to a minimum of 3 months of paid subscription with us, which you confirm by ticking the commitment box when you claim them. If you are on the £1 trial, the work only starts after your first full monthly payment has been taken successfully; if your subscription ends before that payment, no work is started and no fee is charged. If you cancel your service, or your subscription otherwise ends, before the end of 3 months from the date you made that commitment, the quoted fee for the audit fixes shown in your audit will be charged automatically to the payment card on your account. This fee is non-refundable. If that charge is unsuccessful, the fee remains payable: we will chase it, and unpaid amounts may be referred to a third-party debt recovery agency, in which case you may also become liable for the reasonable costs of recovery.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use WordPress-SEO to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes third-party intellectual property.
- Generate content for spam networks, link farms, or pages designed to deceive Google's guidelines.
- Use the platform to impersonate another business or person.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service without written consent.
Breach of acceptable use may result in account suspension without refund.
6. Content ownership
Articles generated for your account are yours to use, edit, and publish however you wish. We retain a non-exclusive licence to keep copies for service-delivery and back-up purposes.
7. Cross-promotional links & backlinks
Link building is a core part of effective SEO. By using WordPress-SEO you grant us permission to add outbound hyperlinks from your published articles to other WordPress-SEO clients' websites, and to place hyperlinks to your website within other WordPress-SEO clients' articles ("backlink swapping"). Such links are relevant to the content, editorially placed, and intended to improve search-engine performance across our client network. We may add, change, swap, or remove these cross-promotional links at our discretion. If you do not wish to take part in cross-promotional linking, email hello@wordpress-seo.co.uk to opt out.
8. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages (e.g. OpenAI, your WordPress host) may temporarily affect operation.
Content your website platform changes or hides. Some WordPress themes, page builders, SEO or security plugins and hosting settings strip out, hide, change or override parts of the content we publish, including text (copy), images, links, formatting and structured data (schema markup). We make reasonable efforts to work around this where we can, but we are not responsible or liable if your website platform, theme, plugins or hosting removes, hides, alters or fails to display any of our copy, links or schema, and this does not entitle you to a refund or credit.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. lost business from a Google ranking change).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12. Communications & consent
By signing up, you agree that WordPress-SEO may contact you by email, phone or messaging about your account, your free trial, support, and our products and services. Service and billing messages (such as trial reminders and payment notices) are a necessary part of the service. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing hello@wordpress-seo.co.uk.
